Our recent trip to Tampa!

From Memorial Day through Mid-June we packed up our kids and went home to Tampa to see our dear family and friends.  Some of them probably you all.  Funny enough three weeks still was not enough time to visit everyone we wanted to see.  Nor did we feel like we got to spend enough time with those of you we were fortunate to get together with.  We will just have to plan another trip down there soon!

After spending a few days with family, we headed down to Anna Maria Island to the Solomon family beach house for a little fun in the sun!  My good friend Megan was able to join us with little baby (not so little) Joseph pictured in the top pic with Mattie.  We swam in the pool, and played on the beach, and had a blast!  Luke discovered a pretty cool rock in the ocean, which we spent hours playing with.  Hhhmmmmm...expensive toys, or free rock from the ocean?  Of course he finds the rock more entertaining.

After leaving the beach, Bobby and his mom and sister took Luke and Mattie to Disney for a couple of days. They had a blast riding all the rides, and swimming in the pool at the hotel. Katie stayed in Tampa with Baby Cade and had some special time with her Dad.

We also baptized baby Cade while we were in Tampa.  On June 10th, his Ma Mere's birthday he was baptized by his Granddad.  Even though my mom was not there in person.  We all know she was looking down from heaven to see this glorious occasion.
See how excited Cade was on the morning before he is going to be Baptized.
What a fabulous day!

This is Cade's Godmother, Aunt Missy!

Yahoo for being Baptized!  It is official now.  Thank you Granddad!

All in all it was a great visit, and it was so good to be at home back in the beautiful sweltering humidity of Tampa.  We made it back to Charlotte, and now we are enjoying getting more adjusted to life here.  We have been swimming in our neighborhood pool, and playing with all our toys that we missed during our vacation.  That will be all for this post! We will post more later!
